Over Three Lakh Devotees Join Collective Gita Recitation Across Madhya Pradesh on Gita Jayanti

Madhya Pradesh marked Gita Jayanti with a massive statewide event as over three lakh people participated in the collective recitation of the Bhagavad Gita’s 15th chapter. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav hailed the initiative as a reflection of the state’s spiritual consciousness, cultural richness and widespread devotion.

On the occasion of Gita Jayanti, Madhya Pradesh witnessed a remarkable display of devotion and cultural unity as more than three lakh people came together across the state for a synchronized recitation of the 15th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita. The large-scale spiritual initiative, observed on Thursday, drew participants from diverse districts, temples, community institutions and social groups, creating one of the state’s most extensive coordinated religious gatherings in recent years.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said the event symbolised the profound spiritual consciousness and cultural depth embedded in Madhya Pradesh’s social fabric. Expressing gratitude to citizens for their enthusiastic participation, he noted that such collective observances reaffirm the shared heritage and devotional values that bind communities across the state. Dr. Yadav described the mass recitation as an extraordinary demonstration of faith, discipline and communal harmony, underscoring its significance in promoting spiritual reflection and cultural pride.

The statewide initiative, conducted in a structured and unified manner, was aimed at encouraging wider engagement with the teachings of the Gita, particularly its philosophical reflections on duty, righteousness and inner strength. Organisers and officials emphasized that the coordinated recitation also served to reinforce traditional practices in a contemporary social setting, allowing people of all ages and backgrounds to participate in a meaningful spiritual experience.

As the chants resonated simultaneously across Madhya Pradesh, the observance transformed Gita Jayanti into a moment of collective remembrance and cultural reaffirmation. With its scale and widespread public involvement, the event not only highlighted the enduring reverence for the scripture but also underscored the role such initiatives can play in strengthening social cohesion and preserving India’s spiritual heritage.
